This obelisk was erected to commemorate King George IV's visits to Ramsgate. It is also known as the "Royal Toothpick".

Behind is the former Royal Pavilion, now the largest Wetherspoons in the UK!

I love the nickname! A super shot. I like the Weatherspoons too. I'm impressed by the variety of old buildings around the country that they have restored.

@kwind I've sat there before. Actually it's rather hard :-D @randystreat It is utterly unique! Indeed, Wetherspoons did a very good job of restoring the building, it's very grand and it offers great views out to sea.
