black cat appreciation day

Thought I would pop by and say hello.

Today is black cat appreciation day and our sweet Gertie certainly approves!

Life is still zooming around like a fast spin in the washer at the moment but hopefully things will settle down a bit soon. My health has suffered quite a bit from all the stress but I am still smiling and still getting myself out and about.

Today I spend six hours at the nature reserve - my happy place.
I find it so peaceful there and I also get to meet some lovely people! today I met two lovely gentlemen in one of the hides and we spent two hours chattering away and taking photo's. Then one of them came to see my favourite places to hunt bugs. We were both thrilled to see a Southern migrant hawker dragonfly and to be able to get a photo of it!
He made my day by telling me that it was lovely to spend time with me and although he was quite a bit older than me .... he said he was going to look forward to trying out the things I had shown him about his camera!

Three good things today:
1. Being in my happy place.
2. Spending time with two lovely gentlemen and being able to help one with his camera.
3. Feeling tired ...... this may not be on many peoples list of good things but ..... as a chronic insomniac .... feeling tired means that I may get some sleep!
Lovely to see you on this site again Al! Lovely photo of your Gertie, I love the way she's looking up at you! That chap would be so glad of your input with info about his camera! Take care & I hope you sleep, such long nights lying awake!

Her eyes are very wide and I see by your tags, she is a British Shorthair. A lovely cat!
