I found a lovely photo of my Grandma the other day when I was going through some of my Mothers old photo's. My Grandma was called Iris.
Today my Iris in the pond flowered so I decided to try and incorporate what I have been learning in my photoshop artistry course and create something!

I scanned the photo of my Grandma and cleaned it up a bit and took a photo (or 20!) of my iris.
I have been learning about the history side of photoshop - in particular the ability to take snapshots when you want to save something you like. I found out that you can use little bits of various snapshots you have taken and just paint them in.

I haven't learnt about typography yet - but I wanted to put "Iris" into the image so used the only way that I know! I don't think it is too bad.

Three good things today:
1. A lovely peaceful afternoon learning about photoshop artistry. Amazing how powerful photoshop is! (and lightroom!)
2. Being able to do something with the lovely photograph of my Grandma.
3. Enjoying a nice glass - or two - of crabbies ginger beer!
A lovely tribute to your grandmother!
