Shooting Birds

"I am only a child playing on the beach, while vast oceans of truth lie undiscovered before me." Isaac Newton (1677).

I went back to the same beach as day before yesterday with a longer lens to get up close and personal with the Black Skimmer. There is quite a colony nesting and they are ferociously aggressive. Even though I stayed well outside the designated area, they were more than happy to dive bomb me for as long as it took. They saved their most ferocious moments for the gulls that flew anywhere close to their territory. Best viewed on the large screen

Awesome perspective! His is one of the shots I want to get some day. The only times I've been able to shoot Skimmers it has been overcast and the results were less than desirable. Great capture.
