More boats at the Tidemill Quay

This is an alternative to the one I posted yesterday because it shows the location better, and a little bit of action, although it lacks sunshine and shadows. It was a difficult choice, so I have now shown both.

I think I like this one better, the composition maybe or most likely because of the dude in his little boat. Maybe he helps to tell more of a story?

These are all classic boats? They have that look especially the black & red one which I missed in the previous pictures. It will be a great event!

Beautiful! This looks like it should be a picture on a jigsaw puzzle.

That's lovely.

This one I like better - more of a story in it rather than a "location" shot

Thanks everyone; I knew I'd made a mistake with my first choice; it was the sunshine that fooled me, and your comments tend to confirm it. I am taking a break from the river today and spending a few hours at a 1940s evet in Norfolk ( my era! ) butt he Maritime festival continues tomorrow so I can go again then.

This one is beautiful, too. That small boat puttering along in the centre adds to the interest.

Great colors, sky and composition. I like all the virtual lines going diagonally to the right.

This is so beautiful, Arthur. Love the action going on and the dark clouds.

wonderful port scene!

Interesting to compare the two Arthur. I avoid harsh light (which is not difficult in west Wales!) but I like the extra information in this one too.

I love this. I like the clouds and the action and the angle of that building on the right. Are those buildings in the water way? That is not something I have seen quite like that.

Was just looking thru your shots and found this lovely one. I love the gray clouds and the guy in the little dinghy sculling with one oar. Very cool.
