I think of myself not primarily as a photographer but a story-teller using a camera to supplement the parts words cannot reach. Long retired from a working life in print and education, I still carry a camera (smaller and more lightweight now!) snapping instinctively at anything I feel moved to write about and share, post-editing the images with free digital software,
Reduced mobility now prevents me from getting out every day, but I can still satisfy the 365 ethos by continuing the methods of my working life when most of "today's" photographs appeared in the papers "tomorrow", captioned as "yesterday", with alternative shots held in reserve for use on 'no-news' days.
Thank you for looking at the current output of this geriatric snapper working outside the "rules" to preserve and share memories, observations and discoveries. I continue to appreciate and learn from every comment or suggestion whether positive or critical.
