Desolate foreshore

photo 302
I was not really satisfied with this shot of a forlorn plastic (grp) boat and the rotting wooden remains of a former dock on the River Deben at low tide, so I cropped it to show just the “walking ghosts”, which I thought made a better picture. Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts on the result yesterday. (This was the original crop).

I agree, the cropped version was better. Thanks for showing us both; your artistic judgement was correct.

I like this one too. There is a different feeling, but I like the desolation fee here

Thanks everyone; this is what I enjoy about the project - a willingness to express an opinion without fear or favour. I am learning a lot from all your comments, so thanks again!

The tupperware boat spoils it cropped image better by far.

Just looked at yesterdays and i like both shots, but think i prefer todays. They really do have quite an eerie feel to them, they are shaped a little like people. Great shots:)

I prefer yesterday's shot. I liked the composition better. Your focus is superb to get such detail in such a small part of the picture!
