The sun came out today! But I missed it. By the time I made it out for lunch the sun had well and truly packed its bags. I cycled down to the Southbank and pottered along the Thames. Gotta love this view - such an iconic image of London. And it definitely lives up to its grey stereotype :)
Three good things:
1 - There was a beautiful cellist playing beautiful music beautifully in the passage underneath Westminster Bridge when I walked through. Gave me goosebumps it did.
2 - Bumping into a long lost acquaintance I knew from my early Bristol days, about 6 years ago now! She co-presented a late-night radio show that I used to sit in on back in the day when I was courting my comedian, and now she works in my building!! What a coincidence!
3 - I cycled home in record time today - even with a slow coach holding me up at Finsbury Park - 22 minutes!
oh my lord, how on earth you get such stunning quality photos with just an iphone is beyond me! I think you should give up the day job and become a pro photographer :)
@brav it was mainly because the sky came out so grainy! Darn iPhones ;) It looked weird when I did the same to the water and I decided to keep the foreground sharp.
@welshgirl@smevvy thank you ladies :) It's all in the editing! The original shot SOOC was nothing to write home about, but a bit of the "drama" filter in Snapseed followed by some nifty PicMonkey action and Bob's yer uncle, Fanny's yer aunt. I think my favourite touch was making the clock face on Big Ben stand out more clearly by using the "Eye Brighten" tool ;)
Terrific shot. Looks like a grey day, but Westminster always looks impressive. Love the positioning, the bridge draws the eye in to the main picture. Love it!
Really impressive shot, even more so considering you were using a 4S! You're right about the use of apps though to increase the shutter speed etc, very useful!
You still got that processing magic.
Go girl go. Onwards and upwards indeed.
What an awesome final product.
