Trulli houses in Alberobello

Today I left Torremaggiore and took to the road with James and Alexis. We drove even further south, properly into the heel of Italy, past Bari, to a teeny town called Castellana di Grotte. This afternoon we spent an entirely indulgent afternoon fooling about in the pool (we are the only guests in the hotel currently) and enjoying the 30°+ heat.

This evening we drove to the beautiful town of Alberobello, which is famous for its collection of houses with round stone roofs, called Trulli. The evening sun was beautiful, and the town looked gorgeous. We had a lovely meal followed by lovely red wine and I am properly happy and chilled out :-)
