A hot stuffy day in the office, made bearable by the promise of jumping into this wonderful twinkly sunshiney pond at Hampstead Heath.
After a day involving dissertation things, invoices, and various other serious nonsense (if that's not an oxymoron), I finished at four, so cycled to the Heath and enjoyed a very indulgent couple of hours by myself. I swam (so amazingly refreshing after a sweltering day of 30 degrees plus), I read my book, listened to my music, and enjoyed the atmosphere of the ladies' only pond. It's a nice secluded area, safe from the prying eyes of men :o)
Wow, I really want to go here! Must find this next time I go to London (which is tomorrow, actually)! It's insane, I lived there for 22 years and never knew about this place! :) Stunning pic by the way - fav!
