Decided to head to Reading this evening. Not going to lie, it was the promise of a roast dinner that lured me - after having spent the last two days entirely alone, the thought of eating roasted meat and potatoes in the company of fellow human beings was very attractive to me. Unfortunately, the autumnal weather and the London triathlon meant I spent a couple of hours sitting in traffic on the North circular.
Three good things:
1 - After getting utterly soaked on the cycle home from uni, I put my leggings and socks straight in the tumble dryer. Putting them ON again afterwards was an absolute joy - they were so wonderfully toasty warm!
2 - There happened to be sausages in my soup today. That was ace.
3 - I got an email from the head of department saying that they would allow tables to be exempt from the word count in our dissertation. Hoorah!!
Not just tables, but also figures! ALL tables and figures! What a triumph! (due to my strong principles, though, I will only allow my numerical tables and figures to take me over the word count, and not those with words in them).
@phoenixrising hmmm I was hoping to get away with words in mine too.. I have six theme frequency tables in mine. I thought the email was remarkably nice though!
I love your commentary, your three things always make me smile. I could add that reading your three things could be one of my three things in any day that makes me smile.
Nothing like a roast dinner :-)
Damn this Traffic Jam! Hurts my motor to go this slow.
Great capture of all the miserable red lights of all the miserable cars filled with miserable people. I hope that all of them had the promise of something good when they got to their destinations
