I am so privileged to have Ian as my 365 friend since July 2013. His wits made my everyday posting so much extra fun. I know very little of Ian, as blurry as today’s post, but I seem know Ian a lot through his comments. I am terribly saddened by the news from Kathie that Ian passed away Wednesday morning Jan 4.
Ian, I am so so sorry.
Thanks those people who put comment following my post
http://365project.org/yaorenliu/365/2016-11-17 and in the general discussion page. Ian, while in great pain, was moved deeply and returned your comment in his page.
Here is my memory of Ian, his comments I missed so terribly.
• you never let me just look at a picture, do you?; you always insist I think about it....:)
• Yao!!..you are doing it to me again!...my work has started and all i can think about is your pic...argh!!!
• ..now you will force me to learn something new as well and make my head hurt yet again....gak!
• gak...i hate when you describe a feature on the same camera as mine and i have no idea what you are talking about...double gak!
• Very civilized for a misbehaving wench!....:)))
• sheeesh Yao!...where the heck do you work???....lol
• darkness, tragedies and prophecy of witches"......sounds like a typical day at work for me
• "how and who to define good taste?"...an interesting question juxtaposed with humanism. If memory serves, Protagoras stated that "man is the measure of all things". I always interpreted that as as meaning elemental truths are only elemental truths if an individual deems it to be such....is there anything more humanistic that that?....
• hmm…you're back…there goes my peace and quiet….:))
• they are looking at you like they know you would never pass obedience school…:)))….
Rest in peace, no more pains to suffer.
My thoughts go out to his wife.
I always looked forward to reading Ian...and Kathies...comments...so full of wit and humour and a good touch of cheeky.
He will be missed.
the world is a dimmer place without him
