Don't be a US Gov't worker unless our laws are changed that restrict the president from causing a shutdown or using federal works as a tool for negotiation!
@mikegifford Lots of coverage of that debacle here in Australia, what a total shambles. All those people who aren't being paid, but have to go on paying their bills. I can't believe any president can do that to 'his' people and sleep at night.
@mikegifford Heard this morning that the FBI's running short of money and that the unpaid air-traffic controllers are quitting in droves plus a few other key services in dire straits. Un-bloody-believable. And I thought our pollies were pretty hopeless!
