The Sun Shines Bright On MOKH

We started our last big day with a complimentary breakfast that came with our room. We found a jewelry store on Third Street (the heart of downtown Bardstown) that had Kentucky bourbon barrel charms. We each bought one, our one matching purchase.

The weather couldn't have been better. Blue skies with a cool breeze as we toured My Old Kentucky Home (I got misty-eyed thinking about my Mom there) then a 20-minute drive to Loretto where we toured Maker's Mark. Cathee got an Ale-8 Bourbon Slushie at lunch and we dipped bottles of Maker's Mark for our hubbies in the gift shop.

The drive home was a tad stressful when we got lost and had to make up some time. Honey had puked a couple times on the carpet and both cats were upset we were gone. We thought they'd be okay overnight and even though neither was happy, they survived. Everyone calmed down as we watched Jeopardy and had bagels for dinner. Another low-key night to end a super fun and busy day.
Lovely photo your model is so cute:)

Continuing the fun road trip! My Old Kentucky Home was on beautiful grounds and very informative...nice gift shop too. This little girl was darling and not happy with the extra cameras and paparazzi (us)! Haha! Everyone is gearing up for the Kentucky Derby and there were hats, hats and more hats for sale! Maker’s Mark was also well manicured, nicely painted a so clean. Loved seeing Chihuly too. Delicious drinks and food, another nice tour, giftshop and dipping bottle experience!

@stevepam @gardenfolk Our model was NOT HAPPY. She was so annoyed with her mom and with us. But she looked so Eastery in her ruffled dress I just had to include her. πŸ˜ƒ
