Excuse Me, I'm Just a Tad Busy

photo 64
I love the expression on her face--she just can't be bothered because she's taking care of her little one.

This photo made me smile, and it seemed appropriate for today. I am a mama who loves her kidlets. And today my heart is with my daughter who is undergoing surgery this morning. Unfortunately after several surgeries to save her colon, she ended up with a colostomy and then an ileostomy (At 28 and being newly married, it hasn’t been fun) Today is the first surgery to try and reverse the procedure. Praying that all goes well. So looking forward to seeing her next week.

Thanks so much for the comments on my photos--they mean so much.

@tonygig Thanks, Tony. Appreciate it. @annbo Thanks so much, Ann. I hope it goes well, too. They are so cute. She really is glaring at me, though. Of course, I didn't like people getting too close when I was feeding my babies either ; )

@yonnie Me too! We live in a world of instant communication sometimes I'm grateful, other times I'm not sure. Good news is always welcome and relieves some of that anxious energy!

Nice capture of the mom and her calf. Hope all goes well with your daughter's surgery. She is so young to have all that done. My son is 31 and is now legally blind.

I hope that all goes well for her, Yvonne. I know a woman who had this done and it was a great success. Will be thinking of you both! Oh ....and love that photo! It's really beautiful ... the wonderful bonding between Mom and babe. :)

@marlboromaam Thanks, maggie. I'm hoping she recovers quickly, too. @grannysue Thanks, Linda. I am sorry to read about your son. It is so hard to watch our children struggle--so much easier if it was us, eh ; ) @karenann Thanks, karenann. I appreciate hearing about your friend. We hadn't had any experience with any of this, and it has been so amazing to watch her and her husband deal with all the changes involved with this. I thought the photo was very sweet, too. @buttercup Thank you, Mary. I appreciate prayers, so very much. It hasn't been easy but she and her husband have great faith and more strength than I do. @groovygirlrn Thanks, Sheri. Appreciate your kind words.

Wow i just went from Ann's cow picture to yours and i have to laugh out loud cause i just told her i dont really like cow's ! But i do think this is a fabulous picture of them and i love the soft color and the look on her face,,any picture of a mama taking care of her babies is a FAV for me!
Yvonne..the surgery your daughter just had ..I believe that is what Cole ( my Son)'s girlfriend just had done and she is going to have the second part ( the reattachment ) done in August! She has the colostomy bag also at the age of 18!! It is so heart wrenching to hear this.! I am so proud of how the both of them have handles it though and i will be praying for you and your's as you go through this difficult time.xxoo

@vickisfotos Thanks so much, Vicki. Appreciate your lovely comment, the fav, and especially the prayers. @ellimae Thanks, Ellen. I'm with you on the mama and baby shots. Heidi is going to have the second part done in August, as well. We are hoping and praying it will be successful. I know she could live a somewhat normal life with the bag, but I now she would rather not. I hope all goes well for Cole's girlfriend.
