Stuck in Transit

Well what a journey! What a tale! Arrived in Doha from Auckland after a 17 hour flight, and had 2 hours to catch my flight to Edinburgh. Got to the gate and realised my passport was missing! Was stuck in transit for an extra 24 hours. Turned out the man in the next seat to me, picked mine up, but didn't realise he had two until he was halfway to Gatwick. Had to wait for it to be flown back, then catch the Edinburgh flight the next day. Only 36 hours late

That does sound like a nightmare! Oh my! My son was in Spain with a high school group years ago and the one thing I told him was "do not lose your passport." He left it on a bus but was able to get it back! Lucky!
