Rememberance

This is part of our small town's remembrance garden. The unique concrete shapes were donated by the people who were building the Waterview tunnel in Auckland. These cast's failed the grade for tunnelling , but have made a great feature in our town.
Each 10.5 tonne segment is one of 10 which make up 2414 rings of concrete lining. Each ring is 2 metres wide and 14m in diameter. It's one hell of a tunnel
They make a very interesting sculpture and photograph, well taken.
