First try out of the Christmas Present lens. Need heaps of practice, this is the best of 100's! This is a dotterel, which has just pulled a shellfish out of the sand.
Lovely shot. Fav. That's a looong lens. Did you get the 200-500? Very nice bokeh and very sharp. Enjoy it. Can't wait to see the photos you'll be sharing with us going forward.
@yorkshirekiwi I've got a 150-600 that's probably bigger and heavier. So I know what you were dealing with. But as I got used to it, the photos got better. I'm sure yours will too. Though they won't get any better than this one.
