I absolutely love the simplicity of this shot. Happy New Year David!

What nice symmetry here yet with the break provided by the dog which gives such interest. And that's just one element!

Such a gritty shot with the rough beach and the barely visible waves.
Nicely composed and processed.
Wishing you a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

Very cool!

Very gritty... but I would have cropped off most of the black at the bottom: for me, it unbalances the image and takes my eye away from the main interest.

@vignouse There's interesting, Richard! For me the dark beach was as much a part of the the image as the figures. I considered instead losing more of the sea (already removed some) but I felt I the the detail in it wouldn't be sufficient. It seems my taste is for dark more than light! Anyway, how are you? Well on the way to recovery I hope... bad way to finish the old year, wasn't it
