Candle in Jug Mono

Richard @vignouse suggested that yesterday's shot would work in B&W. Much as I don't like the idea of using B&W conversions to avoid problems with colour shots I have to agree with him that it works here. So I hang my head in shame at not being true to my ideals but will say 'Thanks Richard' anyway! Thanks Richard! :-)
Yes, b&w does make for a stronger image, I believe. But, it feels a bit crowded (both did, actually) -- I would have liked a little more space around the pitcher.

@vignouse You are right that it works, Richard! But I'm not saying I like it! :-)

Much better.

It sure looks better, I am not a fan of b+w though 😉

@ludwigsdiana You live in a very colourful place. I was brought up in a bombed out inner city street (with an armaments factory at the end of it) in the English Midlands... my whole world visibly grey with black and white opinions all around me! I never stood a chance! If I wanted to celebrate anything as I grew up it had to be monochrome! Should have grown out of it by now I guess! :-)

@ludwigsdiana PS Thank your for your observation.. much appreciated.

I haven't seen yesterdays yet, but this undeniably works in black and white.

@vignouse You're welcome Richard. To more important matters... you are still here and I have not picked up any recent chatter about what you are planning to do now you have completed 7 years. May I take this as a good sign from our (i.e. your friends) point of view?

The BW is a cool effect here. I like the glow of the fire.
