I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
I was drawn to this when I saw it on Trending! The light on the trees and yellow pops of daffodils are stunning! I would love to hike up that hill in the midst of all that beauty. Fav!
Aha - My heart is filling with the pleasure of anticipation of going to The Cincinnati Nature Center tomorrow. There is a similar field of daffodils there - around 20,000 or more. You really captured the shot with Wordsworth's poem.
