The Quad at the University of Washington is lined with 31 Yoshino cherry trees. Every spring they all bloom (go figure). People come from all over the country and the world to see them. There are always a ton of people there with cameras taking pictures of trees. There are almost always people taking portraits of people here too; for graduation or weddings or any other reason you could think of. When the weather actually decides to be spring like (I.E., the rare days that the sun shines and the temps go up), there are hundreds of people laying on the grass, climbing the trees, picnicking, or playing Frisbee. It’s kinda a cool place, and one of the best places in Seattle to visit this time of year. I have to walk through there every day. It’s less than a thousand foot walk from my dorm (0.3 Kilometers). It’s between my dorm and the rest of the campus. So, be prepared for a million cherry pictures to come…
