I Eat My Peas with Honey (Get Pushed Challenge)

Sylviaa gave me free reign to choose my favourite poem/s and take a photograph to represent it. Well, I do not like poetry- if there's ever any in a novel I'm reading I SKIP IT!! But this poem leapt into my head. It was a favourite of my Dad's.

I eat my peas with honey,
I've done it all my life,
it makes the peas taste funny,
but it keeps them on the knife.

I know other 365ers are inspired by deep poetry (that doesn't rhyme so isn't a poem!) but I think this represents 2 things. My intellectual shallowness and my commitment to high end photography by getting up early to catch the sun.
@sdutoit sorry couldn't this ditty ot of my head as inspiration once I'd thought of it!!

Fav for a great shot, simple & effective, and text. Is it from Winnie the Pooh I wonder? I think those peas are petit pois; I do like poetry ( even when I can't understand it); I do not believe you are intellectually shallow.

I heard this one as a child too; it sounds like Spike Milligan but could be Ogden Nash. Great image too!

Very quirky poem - and love your honest opinion of poetry as it is also my opinion of the stuff.
Very cool shot that comes from dedication to the cause by getting up early!

BTW - I noticed you did both a monochrome geometric shot and this poem shot. I know that Sylvia often gives a choice for challenges but I think that she means for you to choose one and concentrate on that one but not to do both.

@farmreporter oh OK thank you for that advice. Lower anxiety level for future challenges with options 😆
