High Key Cuppa

Challenged by Annie (@annied) to take a high key photograph because there isn't a lot of high key in my albums. Well there's a reason for that! It's HARD! WWW says to use natural, bright light. HA!! Not seen sunlight here in weeks.
What light I did have, I managed to cast a shadow on many of my shots.

I have tried to emulate a recent fav from Sally (@salza) and this is a poor imitation. Off to eat a chocolate and reheat this tea!!
@annied here you go - just couldn't get it white but managed no shadows. Thank you for this challenge, I've practiced on a tomato, red pepper and decorations. this one worked the best inspired byrecents one by @salza

I like this. The edging of the saucer gives some added interest. High key effect can be difficult to pull off but in my humble opinion you have achieved it here. Plus I don't see why one cannot use artificial lighting.

@salza Thank you. Think how to web sites say natural light as it's 'pure' where as artificial has different tones. Thank you for you lovely feedback

@365anne Thank you Anne. I'm really enjoying following your project- you are using so many different styles and perspectives. Your originality is exhausting!! :)

high key is rather difficult to achieve. you have to have a much slower shutter speed, and lots of light then you adjust your settings from there. practice. you have it right in your red ball shot anyways.
