I've been challenged to compose a still life that tells a story, hope this conveys that I really do need to sow some seeds and bung these plants into the soil.
The challenge for me was to get a balance between the large compost bag and the smaller items and then to frame it in the plastic greenhouse. I do like the way the items slope from left to right and the eye has to look at each of the items.
Also this April I am revisiting themes or photos I took in my first month on 365 to see how my composition and camera skills have evolved. Today's comparison photo is here and if you have time you can have a quick peek.
Very cool still-life; really tells a story so well. You really balanced out that large bag by using the gloves to break it up visually...very, very smart. And i like how the gloves point to the pots and the arch behind the pots leads right back to the gloves...keeps my eyes very happy in the frame! Fav for me...I think I can learn a lot from this shot!
@brennieb@365anne@granagringa@billygreen@suesouthwood@salza I regret in inform you that the baby sunflowers have failed to survive. I forgot to water them and found them shrivelled and a bit dead in the plastic greenhouse. Have buried them in the soil to provide nutrients and in the hope that maybe a root or two might be alive???
