Final attempt at repetition with extra points if repetition is interrupted. Saw this in a library book (and often by @northy) and this is my best shot.
Oh, spent lunch today trawling charity shops for chess sets and to supermarket to buy diffusing greaseproof paper. I then set up the dining room as my studio. He wanted to eat - thank goodness not raining - so al fresco it was!
I think I'll need to get more practice at this before I'm truly happy; also need to get V4M from the 9 quid I spent!!!

This is so good Jackie - not sure what you did with the greaseproof paper - but I assume it was something to do with that gorgeous glow around each piece. Just lovely and really worth all the effort.
This is VERY cool! Love that chess set... I'm looking at his on my phone without my reading glasses so can't see it as well as I would like... will look at it on a bigger screen later... about the halo - does it show up in the sooc version? If so, can I ask what software u used to convert to black and white? I find, for example, that some of the silver fx presets create a halo and the solution there is to use a preset that doesn't and then tweak in LR... if it's there in the sooc version, I'll have to think about what might be causing it...
@northy thank you for you complimentary feedback. Its the cutest chess set, based on terracotta army! I used what comes with Windows 10 and the sooc doesn't hasve the halo!!!! I'll have as play on Ribbet.com which I use sometimes. Didn't occur to due to changing things in a edit. Thank you miss Horthy for looking, I'll keep you posted on how I get on!!
