When I was a student these were tatty and opened out onto a patch of grass a few feet wide and then drecttly onto the busy road between them and the pebbles of the beach. Now there's a foot high iron fence protecting the huts' residents from running into the road!! Oh and they look really presentable now.
Bathing/beach huts are big business...certainly at Brighton and in Norfolk, which are the ones I've seen. In Brighton for a girly w/e a clue of years ago, we 'did' the Brighton tour. Splendid!

This is so interesting - over here we don't have these little change huts. Young people often just change behind a towel wrapped around their waist - so these are very posh!!
