The largest Victorian glasshouse in the world , a Grade I listed building restored and re-opened last year. It is home to an internationally important collection of plants, including some of the rarest and most threatened.
This is my favourite of the 194 photos I took at Kew today ( I only deleted 10)

Not sure if we were still planning for Shrove Tuesday at Kew? I have had some family stuff come up, which means it is looking unlikely I can make it that day. Really sorry. Would love to try again another time though. I have to do more than stand next to you, @30pics4jackiesdiamond and have an anonymous conversation, oblivious to who you are!! Our day will come......if you guys are still able to meet, I wish you a super day together and hope to join you next time around. xxx
@casablanca@shannejw@30pics4jackiesdiamond I am still up for meeting next week. I also have a stinking cold (must be doing the rounds) but hope it will be gone by the weekend. 11.30 works for me @casablanca Hope everything works out ok and maybe see you the next time we rendezvous
@30pics4jackiesdiamond I'm fine, but my daughter is still full of this cold - and I'm really not a definite. If she's got a chest infection, as we suspect, I may not be able to leave her
@shannejw@casablanca we'll have a have a try at a meetng up another time. Take care ladies, was fun plotting. Hope storm Freya does you no harm today. J

I love Kew - one of my favourite places to visit when I lived in London
Sounds good to me, too!

I can definitely make it :)

Freya is also the name of the tempestuous little girl downstairs - which amused both her mother and me.
