Amaryllis (7)

The last one (for now!) I didn't think it would last a week of being a photography subject, but it has, and is rewarding me with a new flower bud. Expect another bloomin' photo if it does bloom.

So finishing of this week of Flashofred true to monochrome and negative space. Played again with colour channels on GIMP, it really isn't an intuitive program.

Three Good Things?

Snowdrops galore at Mottisfont
Impromptu trip into Romsey for a wonderful lunch of soup
Self guided tour of Romsey Abbey whilst organist rehearsed
great details here with the low lighting - and you started two days before me, so I've got another two days of the Flash of Red to go.

I don't mind GIMP, haven't found it much different to the other software programmes I've used. It's pretty much based on Photoshop.

Hilliers is also nice if you are looking for a flowery venue. I had GIMP but I could not make head or tail of it so reverted to FastStone which does all I want.

Nice low key

Nice low-key photo- you've done a good job on your same subject shots. I tried GIMP once- it was too complicated for me! Another 365er suggested Smart Photo Editor and I've been using it ever since.

Your amaryllis is doing very well. This one a wee bit dark for me, I instinctively went to turn up the brightness on my keyboard, but that's because I am old and don't see as well LOL!!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond

We have been two years to Warnford so Ray says he does not want to go any more. I loved the little church as much as the snowdrops. The last time we went I got a nice stranger portrait, quite a character! Hope you enjoyed the visit.
