Leading To the King

This was taken mainly to play with GIMP again. My little chess set chest and board is red and black and the pieces are brown and cream, not colours that lend themselves to monochrome conversion.

All I did with this was alter the red channel, adjust the curves, do something with contrast and exposure. I know it is too dark, I know the contrast is not obvious but I do quite like the focus and light and low-keyness. It might be improved on black??

Oh! I held a snake today and her name was Marmite!! I'm very very brave
That's quite cleverly spooky!
So, did you love or hate the snake?

Great shot but why did you held a snake? I never new that playing chess was that dangerous............just kidding. Was the snake a python?

What a great name for a snake! Marmite - you love it or you hate it! I quite like snakes, it's arachnids I can't stand. Interesting image here. Tad dark for my ageing eyes, but an eye catching king at the end there.
