What can be more British than a picnic on a bench, at a National Trust stately home in the pouring rain?
My get pushed challenge is to capture a ‘Proud to be English’ image to balance the photo and story of Embarrassed to be English of a couple of days ago. Sandra D hoped I would have great fun.
Challenges involved spotting what I thought I wanted, snapping it whilst protecting point and click camera from rain and then how to crop and process once I'd dried out.
@sandradavies As you suspected, I did find it a challenge to come up with an idea for my subject and I thought rain and an umbrella would meet the brief. Thank you for the push, got me thinking. I might still do a queue- if I can find one!!
A perfect photo. I can identify because the weather in the pacific NW of the US is similar to England's weather and when we lived there we did the same!
When I watch English movies and tv shows, I'm amazed at how people are portrayed as doing things outside in all weathers. I think I'm a bit of a snail. I just crawl into my shell.
@shutterbug49 bleugh!!!!! @randystreat if we didn't go out in rain we'd never get fresh air. When I met my best friend from Australia, she was in hat, scarf, coat and I was sunbathing - in May!!!
