In the 1960s winters were cold, milk froze and the blue tits pecked at the foil tops to get at the cream.
Nowadays winters are warmer, milk is homogenised so there's no cream floating on the top and the milk man is an endangered species

A nice composition - I can imagine the milkman just leaving it! We have a doorstep delivery from a local farm. The milk is not homogenised and I have to pierce the cream to let the milk out!!

Oh what memories! A crate with a number dial on to tell the milkman how many pints! and you could get little caps to put over the tops! Great shot with so many memories fav
No, no fridges in the Middle Ages!!!! Actually I think they sometimes went off before they even saw the inside of a fridge. Give me a container of milk from the supermarket any day!
