Film Star Soft Focus - First Attempt

Have a go at soft focus (using a pair of tights) suggested Sylvia @sdutoit, so I have.

I read somewhere that older ladies in the film industry like to have soft focus to hide their lines.

Any advice on how to do this, as I think this just looks fuzzy
@sdutoit here we go Sylvia, is what you had in mind?

@30pics4jackiesdiamond -you looked like that when you were 3????
i think this is where you should've tried using a stocking or pantyhose (clean one of course!) on your lens. this is too too soft,

@summerfield viki, I used a tight stretched across the lens. Disappointed as it looks like I breathed out on the lens!! Troedyrhiw different apertures, +/- but al looked like fog.
Will try again with a different subject material (flowers perhaps). No I looked like that when I was 26ish

I totally agree with @s4sayer! I did find this on the alternative university -youtube - ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhIty5rHmtQ) BUT I would do this on a UV filter and clean after your done with rubbing alcohol which should clean off any stickiness. I gotta try this myself. Years ago, I remember reading that photographers would use Vaseline on a UV filter to give a soft focus effect - bit messy in my book.
