Kennet and Avon Canal

Walked along the canal at Theale, near Reading this morning and did a quick RSPB bird count.

Red Kites - 2
Canada geese - Dozens
Swans- 5
Little Egret - 1
Heron -1
Blue tits - lots
Robin 1
AND
Kingfishers - Big Fat Zero

If it weren't for the waves it would look like a road! great leading lines that look like you are standing on the water! Impressive array of birds counted too

You did well for wildlife. I have never yet seen a kingfisher in the wild, much as I try!
