Orchid collage of my first atttempts at using the extensin tubes. Camera cannot get any readings from the lens, so had to move the orchid/camera for focus and the 'guess' exposure. I was really pleased that I didnt fail too spectacuarly. Starting top left - 50mm, and then added in sequence +12, +20 and +36.
I am going to have SUCH FUN using the prime lens with these If anyone has any tips on how to get the best from them, am open to any advice.
I very much like the progression of images, very crisp. I am not sure which camera you use but does it have a "peaking level" adjustment? My Sony does and I have it set to 'high' so I can see which areas are in sharper focus. I have found this to be helpful with my lensbabies and other manual lenses.
I like how you made the progression into a collage. Even your most extreme is pretty sharp. My phone camera outgrew my clip on macro lenses, but the hardest thing for me is that since you focus by moving the camera, it is very hard not to bump the plant and any motion at all is magnified just like the subject.
