landscape photography isn't one of my mosst successful techniques, the organiser of the photography course I'm doing suggested I try 'intimate landscapes' and to lose the sky, so on my walk today I gave it a go.
Upper half all taken at Emsworth around harbour and the mill pond. Lower ones are from a walk around the Bosham Channel of the harbour.
We saw buzzards, kestrels, terns, seals and possibly a hare (or a huuuuge rabbit!)
hmmm i am having trouble thinking of a challenge today so i have resorted to getting you to use a feature of your camera you probably havent used much, i am thinking continuous autofocus (AF tracking ) for a moving subject , as it is something i am always tooo lazy to learn to use myself LOL you can use in conjunction with burst mode to raise your chances

The "lose the sky" suggestion really has worked - you have caught so many interesting landscapes - love the collage too. Have you actually finished the course?
Nice collage of the local views. Interesting tip, to "lose the sky." I will have to remember this during the week when I look for a good landscape subject.
well that's interesting. love the sound of an intimate landscape - must try it myself. it's a great collage. i like the lone tree best - although that includes sky, i guess it's quite an intimate crop
@arnica17 we have grey skies, no clouds or interesting light. I was advised to tske more close up landscapes, not the traditional sky and ground version. Hope this helps??
