The Standing With Giants commemorating all those who died during D-Day invasion is currently on display near me. It is fully booked until the end of January, but as I was on my own they let me in. There were a few people there, the respectful silence as we viewed the installation was quite moving. I had the parade ground to myself for about 10 minutes.
Posted for the 52 week prompt 'freedom' as without these people's sacrifice we wouldn't be free today.
