Montana Stonehenge

This is an exact replica of Stonehenge - the size is the same as the real Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England. I know .... strange. And the story of why it was built is even stranger. But it is beautiful and set in an amazing location in rather remote Eureka, Montana near the Canadian border.
You really can't leave us hanging like that! Where can we find the story of why it was built please?!

Lovely photo. It seems a strange idea to make a copy of Stonehenge in Montana, but on the other hand, why not?

Amazing. Why was it built? (We have no real idea why ours was built by the way)

@phil_sandford It was built by a very wealthy gentleman who just decided to do it one evening. I understand there may have been some alcohol involved in the original decision making! But it is beautiful and wonderful to visit and take pictures. He also has an incredible air museum. If you Google "Eureka Montana Air Museum" you can get a little more info. Did you happen to notice the plane on my site? That sits outside of the museum.
