@thewatersphotos He was actually fairly close but I was standing just outside my car with the door open - ready to jump! This happened on a rather remote road that leads to Bowman Lake in Glacier Park. We were just lucky to come by as he was near the road looking for berries.

@777margo They do eat a lot of berries and other plants. Sometimes they eat meat - small animals - but they prefer the plants.
