My mother is now 88 and not doing well. My brother and I are rearranging her home for her safety as guided by the professional. It pains her and us as her precious treasures are being removed.
That is lovely! It's not easy to cope with parents as they age. My mum was determined she was staying in her own home with her own things, and even moving them to make her house safer was a struggle because she didn't want change. It was a difficult but in many ways rewarding time.
