Our new slow combustion fire place. by 365projectorgjenfurj

Our new slow combustion fire place.

We recently installed a slow combustion fire place. It is lovely watching the flames and feeling the warmth. (It only took us 3 years to decide.) A lot of work for Cees taking out the old brick chimney and preparing the area. And now learning how to clean the glass with the fine ash residue.
As much as our wood is very well seasoned, the glass still gets residue on it.
Looks very inviting. Enjoy the warm and atmosphere it brings to your home :)

I love our wood burner too but we haven't had to light it for the last two nights because it has been so mild here.

The glass door is easy to clean with damp kitchen roll and ash from the fire.

There is nothing nicer than sitting in front of a cosy fireplace in winter. We have yet to use ours ;-)
