Nativity scene by 777margo

Nativity scene

Embroidered about 23 years ago by the Vietnamese boat people of Hong Kong. The Dutch ladies would give them the embroideries, & they would do the most exquisite work. I am lucky to have one. Its very special to me & I only put it up at Christmas time.
When I saw this scene a while back in one of your pictures, I already thought, they look a bit like the illustrations of Rie Cramer. I wonder if the Dutch ladies gave them a drawing to embroider from? Sweet scene, with the children looking in the crib and the little lambs in front.

So exquisite! I'm sure it's a treasure. Many of the South Vietnamese were Catholic from the French influence.
