I got a call from the school saying there was going to be an early dismissal due to more snow coming our way this afternoon/evening, so I headed to the school a little earlier, with the intention of taking pictures. The snow was deep, crusty on the top, but soft underneath, and at one point, I felt like I was going to fall forwards, but because of the deepness I was being held up, and then all these seagulls appeared out of nowhere (I grabbed some shots, but not the best as I only had my 50mm and the settings were wrong).....I think they saw me as food, and were waiting for me to keel over, then they could eat my frozen carcass ;-) lol

Wow what a sacrifice you went through to take a photo of a red Christmas ball.... it is worth it, so simple but so effective. You need to come to Australia when you have the snow, today had the perfect weather here.....Keep warm

And I have a mental image of you face down in the snow, camera held aloft to protect it! :)
Hi, Allison! I'm so lucky you are not the victim of those greedy seagulls you've met on the way to school. In other case I could not see your wonderful shot and could not tell you that it was brilliant.
