Early Dismissal by Allison

Early Dismissal

Best viewed large if you have time :-)

I got a call from the school saying there was going to be an early dismissal due to more snow coming our way this afternoon/evening, so I headed to the school a little earlier, with the intention of taking pictures. The snow was deep, crusty on the top, but soft underneath, and at one point, I felt like I was going to fall forwards, but because of the deepness I was being held up, and then all these seagulls appeared out of nowhere (I grabbed some shots, but not the best as I only had my 50mm and the settings were wrong).....I think they saw me as food, and were waiting for me to keel over, then they could eat my frozen carcass ;-) lol
Beautiful with the snow falling.

Nice! That little splash of colour and the grand, bokeh background just go together so well.

That's a great idea. Perhaps I should decorate our our door tree with baubles to cheer it up!

Love the solitary bulb. Nice touch. That's like Christmas right smack dab in the middle of dreary, bleak, cold winter.

December 19th, 2013
Hi, Allison! I'm so lucky you are not the victim of those greedy seagulls you've met on the way to school. In other case I could not see your wonderful shot and could not tell you that it was brilliant.
