Kelowna is somewhat famous for being a wine and fruit growing region in Canada.
However the rise in Veganism has encouraged local farmers to expand into the milk growing business. The farmer plants cartons in the field and milk is extracted from the soil, depending how much it rains will determine the dilution of the fat content (1%, 2% etc). After a short while the cartons are full, they seal the top and ship it to your local grocery store where you buy it and put it in your coffee.
It’s a fascinating process not many people know about, it’s much more humane than the old way of extracting it from Cow boobies. #NowYouKnow
