June 1st **Happy Birthday** to Cindy Bryant, Andy Coleborn and Ken Muenstermann (ctr in pic) & Freida, too!
Back when I did the birthday poem, I saw Cindy http://365project.org/cindy/365/2010-04-15 and Ken shared the same day. I knew on that day what I was going to do for a picture on June 1st! It just happened that we had a dinner invitation to Mike and Johnny's, so I pressed everyone into service for the birthday photo.
Here's to you Cindy! Here's to you, Ken! And Many More!
(Andy http://365project.org/andycoleborn/365/2010-04-14 weighed in late that it's his birthday, too, so here's to you Andy!) Who's bringing in the birthday cake?
Happy Birthday, Ken!!! ;-)) What a beautiful day to be born on!!! June 1st is Children's day in Bulgaria - all kids get to eat ice-cream and chocolate and cake, and all cars are supposed to have their headlights on during the day, in honour of the children! :-) I am 26 and I still celebrate it! ;-)) Great photo, Louise!
How wonderful that Ken used to play basketball in Washington, MO! We started going there for walks in the beautiful park along the Missouri river, and we liked the town so much that we decided to look for a house in the area. The historic part of Washington (just a few blocks away from our place) is gorgeous! When we move in, I'll make sure to take some pictures of some of the old houses. I love the idea of living in an actual town, where you can walk to get coffee or groceries. When I first came in the US the whole subdivision suburbia was too foreign and quiet for me, since I've always lived in a city full of people and life. So I am thinking we are going to enjoy our new location :-) Today was another busy day - my husband knows no rest! Our nephew and niece came down to help, and we hauled so much trash out. Jeremy had to take down two of the bathroom walls... hopefully we can make the bathroom a little bigger now ;-) Old houses are full of surprises! ;-)
You beat me to it! Happy birthday Ken and cheers to you all! Thanks for thinking of me Louise -this was a lovely surprize. Hope you two have a great day!
Hi Louise
Thanks for all your kind comments on the shutterfly site... I was pleased how some of the photos came out.
Oh - my birthday today as well... so happy birthday's all around :-)
What a great looking bunch of fellas! Happy Birthday to the birthday people! I hope they all had a great day!
Thank you so much for your comment! Feeling a bit better today but I have to go to work in a bit. I'm allergic to the sun and mosquito bits and I think I had a bit too much of each! You only live once though, right!
Happy birthday, Ken! Looks like a great celebration.
Louise, I'm sure whatever you find to photograph when you return home will interesting to all of us. I find that I take pictures every day and more and more pictures each day. I would like to look at EVERYONE's pictures and there is where it becomes a problem. I still hit quite a few, but nowhere near the number I did when I first started. Looks like you're having a great time at your summer home.
I hope Ken has a wonderful day. This is a really nice shot too.
Thank you for you comments on my photos and don't worry about forgetting you'd 'met' me. You have so many people you keep track of I'm sure it isn't easy remembering everyone.
Louise, thank you for your comments on my picture of Peggy's Cove. Yes, I have more of them and no, you can't take a bad picture there unless you jiggle your camera too much!! My pictures will be back in Lunenburg in about a week and then we will be heading south!!
Louise, thank you so much for the link to Learke's page - I've been waiting for her to post another photo from her trip! I've never been to Bosnia and Herzegovina (it's a shame - it's so close to Bulgaria), but coincidentaly we had bbq the other day with some friends and their Bosnian boss + lovely wife and children. They came to Saint Louis with their families during the war, and have stayed ever since. A lot of Bosnian people have been relocated here, and they have established their own small community . It wonderful that Laerke is taking us around Eastern Europe in her travels ;-)
P.S. Working on the house definitely jazzes us up! ;-) I loved your comparison! It's amazing, because i never know what the end result will be. We take the decisions as we go, depending on the shape things are in. I am having some days off now, because my husband is at work, so i am using the time to rest a bit and catch up with 365 ;-) Looking at pictures is always such an enjoyment! :-)
A little something for Ken from me and cheers also to you Louise for arranging our joint birthdays http://365project.org/cindy/365 Hope you had a great day
LOL Louise... thanks :-)... Rained all day here in the UK but spent a lovely day with my girlfriend at Hastings in Sussex. Had a wonderful day, hope Ken had an equally great day... :-)
(clearing throat) Happy birthday to you...happy birthday to you...happy birthday dear Ken....and others....happy birthday to you....and many, many, many more! I hope you had a great day and enjoyed the singing! Love the picture! :)
just saw your comment on mine. I think they are beautiful! I could have really gone to town in there, but I saw a "no photos" sign after I snuck that one...My mom used to wear wigs! How fun were you guys!?! Post a pic on shutterfly! Pleeeaase! Hmm - wonder where I got my liking for putting little punk color streaks in my hair...just like to keep things interesting... :)
Oh, dear I am a day late offering my birthday wishes to my "buddy," Clark! You look wonderful in this pic, Ken. And HB to all the other 365ers listed here.

This is your birthday song,
It isn't very long ...
