Looks unstable to me LOL! How sweet of your neighbors to have a special meal ready and waiting at home for you. How fortunate you are to have such dear friends :o)
Well that certainly is an "understatement"! Vacation is over, we just arrived back here in Illinois a few hours ago...had a wonderful time! Now I gotta catch up with everyone! I think I need a vacation from the vacation!
What a wonderful find, Louise! ;-)) I wouldn't risk it ;-))
I hope you get some tranquility tomorrow ;-) It's good you are not the only noisy neighbours - summer is the time for relaxation, but also rennovation! Soon enough the roof will be done, and you can welcome the lazy mornings once again ;-))
Washington has a wonderful small town feel about it. Jeremy says that it reminds him of New Orleans - all it needs is the horse-drawn carriages ;-) I've only been to New Orleans once, after Katrina, so I can't really tell. But it seems that every town that's on water (river or ocean), has a more relaxed atmosphere about it.
Today Jeremy powerwashed the house - tomorrow it gets painted in historic colors ;-)) Getting anxious to move in soon! ;-)
Have a great rest of the week and good night ;-))
P.S. I lose track of time, too - it's so easy to do! Weekdays blend into weekends, and vice versa. My computer is still showing Bulgarian time... right now it's 7 in the morning at home! ;-)
Hahahaha great concept and great shot! Complete with what looks like jutting, rusty nails. Thanks for the comments on my project by the way! I look forward to growing in photography and the 365 community :-)
They go with us pretty much everywhere. With Jordan being our special needs pup...we can't leave him with anyone. I'm sure he would have a heart attack. He's afraid of everyone but us (myself and Tammy). He's been like that from day one and we have no idea why. He's the sweetest boy but just so afraid of everything. We are going to Charleston, SC at the end of July and they will be tagging along...lol. We rented a house that allows dogs.
that's funny! glad you like my turkeys! We have quite a population of wildlife at the place I work. The campus is large and we have left much of the land to wooded areas and prairie conservation. The turkeys are normal residents. They're funny because they are not afraid of us. They must "know" that we're not going to eat, I mean hurt them.
What an amazing capture. Definitely looks a little rickety. Wouldn't be surprised if someone gets a shocking drop into the water when stepping on that thing. (I picture one of those carnival booths where a guy in a chair gets dropped into a tank when someone hits the bullseye with the ball. Haha)
I think that sign must have been there a long time, nobody could erect it at that angle without getting down underneath, surely.
Anyway it gave us all a good look and discussion.
how funny - that certainly wouldn't pass a health-and-safety inspection! Thank you for your comment on my strawberry - and yes, my one fave is Pink! When I started doing this I selected lots of faves at first, but then ended up not keep up with it and decided not to have any - so I removed them all - but couldn't bear to "delete" him!
Morning, Louise! Nope, I've suffered zero jet lag this trip! I've been sleeping later (6:30) than I ever do in Colorado. I guess it's a measure of how ready I was for a break ...
I'm surprised you didn't take a venture out. I bet it would have held. :)
awesome find Louise! I'm glad we both get the whole time vs 365 battle. You are not alone. sending you some smiles and sunshine! :) always loving your photos!
This is great .. at least there was a warning sign. my host -Hans's sister and i went for a nice walk through the woods and when we came to almost the ends of the walkway she saw a sign that someone had thrown into the bushes ..it was a warning sign for bikers that there would be 7 steps ahead which lead directly to a highway below. can you imagine what might happen to someone not knowing the danger ahead. and who in the world would do such a thing on purpose. some people are just sick!!!
I like this photo, though!!
