This has been a summer-garden fixture along our morning walk on Back Harbour. I've been watching for it to be reinstated this year and was delighted to see its return to the yard. Some of you have read that I like to play "Concentration", pairing pictures and people. Imagine my delight when I found the ruby slippers to pair with my Tin Man today http://365project.org/rebcastillo77/365/2010-07-19
Thanks for your sweet, funny and always delightful comments with my "Cosmopolatin" photo. I was so pleased to have some time to catch up with many of you today.
Wow. So, I had a lot more to type, but for some reason, all that came out was "What a great shot!" Then I hit comment.... Ha ha ha. Anyway, what I wanted to say was that this looks like quite the interesting piece to have! I, like the others, have to wonder if he has a heart! I hope you have a can of oil nearby! Ha ha ha.
LOVE the tin man. Yes - I uploaded most of our vacation pics when we got home. I have a DSLR and shoot RAW so I wanted to do the conversion right. I tried some on the road, but was unhappy with the results.
great composition and crop!!! tinman makes for an eye-catching photo. I love seeing thru your eyes as you explore.
re music: I take pictures each day, and then think of a song to go with it. sometimes i get help from the people around me. it's such fun!
Oh my gosh Louise when you asked to link my photo to yours I never imagined that you had this in store- this is fantastic! Do you mind if I post your link to mine? This is sooooo great, I hope someone can come up with a cowardly lion and brainless scarecrow- anyone?!!
and, i'm glad you said something, because i realized i had not added a link before posting today's photo. I took care of it, and have a link for listening.
Awesome! There is a sheetmetal business in town, and he makes things like this just for fun and displays them outside his home. I met him a few weeks ago and asked if I could stop by and take pictures someday. He said yes, I just haven't done it yet.
I love this, Louise!!! And I enjoyed your pairing game!! ;-)) Very evocative photo! ;-)
Italy - sounds amazing! I still haven't been there, although it's so close to Bulgaria! I am glad you are having a full year ahead - we are all loving and enjoying your delightful photos and accompanying stories! Taking life each day at a time is a wise thing to do - I've given up on making long term plans, just to see them fail. It's much more interesting when you only have some guidelines and don't live by the rules ;-)
great find! Thanks for posting the video link! It reminded me that I really want to re-visit the Wizard of Oz, now that I have recently acquired the 70th anniversary high-def blu-ray edition. Here's a little story that may amuse you. A few years back I was injured because I decided to do the little dance step from this number while walking at the beach with friends. I ripped my calf muscle! (no alcohol involved!) Imagine me having to tell the story over and over to everyone who asked how I injured myself ! "...well, if you MUST know..."
Thanks for your comment and information about your European plans. Three wonderful places.
What a good find.
