The Owl and the Pussycat by Weezilou

The Owl and the Pussycat

First photo of the day... My handsome friend...

When I respond to your comments, I feel as though he has me answering his fan mail. Thanks for enjoying him as much as I do!

To my daughter: *Happy Birthday* Heather!
All your photos of Dill have been fantastic, but I have to say this is my favorite so far. I love the way he looks as if he knows something you don't. And I'll be dreaming tonight of a beautiful pea-green boat...is that the right song? :)
July 27th, 2010
OOH! OOH! We posted our pics at the same time!
LOVE Dill!
GORGEOUS, soft photo of him.
The colouring is magic!
Of course, the caption is the icing on the apple cake! ;-)

I need to go back and look at all of your pics that Ive missed!
July 27th, 2010
Oh Dill! I have been absolutely loving all of your photos from your trip, especially those of Dill. I love the composition of this shot, and the dof. Oh how I will miss all the photos of Dill when you guys leave NS.
July 27th, 2010

July 27th, 2010
Bravo! I love this Louise! Happy Birthday to Heather!
July 27th, 2010
I love his expression! "There's someone looking over my shoulder, isn't there?" I LOVE how you caught the owl in the background. Nicely done!

July 27th, 2010

July 27th, 2010
Ohhhhhh I LOVE this one of Dill. So beautiful. What a good poser he is! And Happy Birthday to Heather...
July 27th, 2010
I *love* Lear's poem, "The Owl and the Pussycat." It was actually the first picture book that I bought for Nique (in Honolulu, I think she was five weeks old at the time - LOL!) with illustrations by Jan Brett. Thanks for the memory!

Boy, that Dill is one handsome boy!

July 27th, 2010
VEry nice photo. I like your composition Louise.
July 27th, 2010
he looks like a very wise kitty cat! i love the photo.
July 27th, 2010
That's a great photo! I love it!
July 27th, 2010
great composition, the owl in the background is so cute----------His little white face and whiskers are begging for a rub! And, maybe a treat too.
July 27th, 2010
The is just a perfect shot. Kudos to you and Dill.
July 27th, 2010
What a great shot. It's perfectly framed with the owl and flowers in the background. And I love the expression on Dill's face. He looks like he means business! He is such a handsome cat and his fur always looks so amazingl soft.
July 27th, 2010
I love his smoldering look! And the title - how perfect! :)
July 27th, 2010
This is a great photo! Such a handsome boy! :)
July 27th, 2010
dill and my black cat gabby would look good together.
July 27th, 2010
I have 2 cats that have both adorable, and mischievous, personalities. Sound like Dill also enjoys getting attention, and then a treat. My kitties live both inside and out and they come in one door, grab 2 bites of food, and then go straight to the next door to be let out. Around and around they go. We eventually draw the line and out they stay for a while!!! LOL
July 27th, 2010
Beautiful, Louise.
July 27th, 2010
That is an amazing photo! I love it!!!!!
July 27th, 2010
Thanks, always for the lovely comments, my friend!
And, yes....Mady and I have been internet friends for years and Brad and I have been Real Life friends with her for the last few years.
She posted one of my paintings a few months ago. I'm pretty sure that I've mentioned her before, but as I think about it, perhaps not for a while.
Idge is a new friend that I met last night, though. That she was also on 365 was a surprise....a nice one, though! She's a transplanted Brit, like Craigy...so it was fun to talk to her.

Happy Birthday, Heather!
July 27th, 2010
Thanks so much for the song Louise! You are the greatest! I don't recall ever hearing that Perry Como song! It's awesome!
July 27th, 2010
I really do like Perry Como but I just don't ever remember hearing that song. I was born in 1961...not so long after that came out...lol.
July 27th, 2010
Nice photo - he doesn't look like a "morning" cat though LOL ;o)
July 27th, 2010
Oooh, that face! I just want to reach into the picture and rub his fuzzy head! So handsome!
July 27th, 2010
Ahaha, I love this! The cat's expression is priceless, and, of course, I love the owl in the background.
July 27th, 2010
neat!
July 27th, 2010
Another great Dill shot. He really is very handsome. Louise, please check out http://woowei.com/amazing-friendly-family and you will see 2 things you love :-)
July 27th, 2010
Dill is gorgeous! Nothing like the first white cat that I met who was named Dinah. She belonged to my husband's grandmother. She was the meanest cat alive. Once when I was sitting in the chair in the kitchen...she walked by and hissed at me because I was in her way. Yes, I was afraid of her. So needless to say, I've had a fear of white cats since then! I am happy to know that Dill is not at all like that Dinah. Your caption is perfect....like the owl in the back! hehe!
July 27th, 2010
Very handsome! And happy birthday to your daughter from me too!
July 27th, 2010
Oh, this is perfection! Your title made me sing that song to myself . And I do love the expression on Dill's face!
July 27th, 2010

Often the first image is the best:) This is great. As always with Dill the Great.
Happy birthday to Heather!
July 27th, 2010
Ah, look hoo hoo's back! Sorry, it's a groaner but couldn't resist. Anyways, gotta love when cats throw that look your way. Too funny.
July 27th, 2010
Ah, one of the rare moments when he lets you take a portrait (without head turning away). My son bought a camcorder and we found out that our two cats prefer to be move stars then photo models, arrrghhh! Beautiful picture of Dill. You did a good job Louise.
July 27th, 2010
soooo pretty!!! :)
July 27th, 2010
PERFECT!!
July 27th, 2010

July 27th, 2010
Darling Dill! How we all love him.
With that look , you'd think that he knew we were admiring his photos :D
Just a perfect shot Louise! Thank you!
July 27th, 2010
Louise, re your comment on my page--there are a few cats that I do like, and I am very sure that Dill would be one of them. I've just never been able to figure them out; for instance, I'd be tempted to rub that beautiful, thick fur under his neck, and he'd probably spit at me for it. :)

Happy (late) birthday to Heather!
July 27th, 2010
Love this as always another great photo
July 27th, 2010

I am on vacation and stealing time to look at 365 while my daughter went into work for awhile today. I had to make this picture an immediate favorite. Your posing was a mark of genius. Dill continues to gather fans. The 2 of you make a great team!
July 27th, 2010

July 27th, 2010
Awww, I just love him.
July 27th, 2010
This is a super portrait of Dil, he looks slightly evil, like a Bond cat in this & the composition is great! : ))))
July 27th, 2010

July 28th, 2010
So true, so true LOL.
July 28th, 2010
Oh crap. I used to get that look all the time, but she was from Kentucky and I was married to her
July 28th, 2010
Oh, just look at Dill... what a look he's giving you!

If I wasn't so allergic to cats, I'd pat them.
July 28th, 2010
The owl is a little pushy, isn't he?
July 28th, 2010
Thanks for the comment on my Sim City pic...just had to tell you, though, that there was no fancy editing. It's pretty much SOOC except for a little boost in saturation. I'm amazed, though, that I was actually able to hold my hand still long enough to get it exactly where I wanted it. :-)
July 28th, 2010
Aww, this is so cute!!! (and Happy Birthday , Heather)
July 28th, 2010
Gorgeous, gorgeous shot!! Dill is as handsome as he can be! I am a big fan of him! ;-)) And, Happy Birthday to Heather!!!! ;-)))
