The vacation was over for our new friends, Tom and Kelly, John & Eva. We said our good-byes and Ken took a photo of us. It wasn't until he turned the back of the camera to me, to ask if I liked the picture, that I realized we were nearly all in red. Good enough for the theme! Instead of hunting for something more visually interesting or arty, I set my camera aside and decided to stay around the house. Think of today's picture as though you were just looking over my shoulder as I saved this to my personal album.
I made a batch of pancakes and then spent the rest of the day at the computer. It was a pleasure to spend time with you all again!
Tomorrow: Breakfast Club and an afternoon of blueberry picking. The computer needs time to cool down...
Awesome group shot! Have fun berry-picking tomorrow. We will be driving home from our beach vacation. Thank you so much for your comment on my red glasses. I too fav a lot of photos, but my theory is that it's easy to find something among my favs but hard to go back and find it in it's original posting.
You know...I've been wanting pancakes ever since Eva made them for you all the other day. I may just have to make some tomorrow...lol. This is such a wonderful photo.
Now I know I haven’t been a 365’er long, but it seems to me that strangers who meet you become friends, and those friends become part of your family. That’s quite a testament to you! Great photo!
great minds think alike, you know! how fun is all that red?! this shot is a fun memory of your newfound friends. i'm quite sure they are richer for the experience of spending time with you!
Did you send out an invitation to this gathering saying "Please wear red"? Too cute! Love your stories. Thanks for opening the door to your home and the door to your heart once again : )
Make sure you save some blueberries for pancakes later in the week!
About the cheerleaders: I get nervous when they're doing new stunts for the first time but I make sure that they know what they're doing and we have a lot of people to help catch. I used to be one of the girls that would "fly" the stunt so I relate to the fliers now. They work hard and trust each other, which makes all the difference.
Hello, Louise! I'm having 365 with my morning coffee - FINALLY (Must be Sunday!) The first thing I notice about this shot was all the red. What a coincidence! Know you are going to miss your new friends ... will they be back next summer?
hehehehehe my morning coffee is coming soon. had the morning walk and started the laundry, about to have some oatmeal and then shower THEN coffee while on the way to work. :) Because I know you needed to know how my day was going. hehehehe
adore picking blueberries, or any fruit for that matter. Have fun!!!
Blueberry picking? Sounds like heaven! And, I *hope* there's a picture in it!
Rick and I will drive Nique to Oregon the week of September 20th. She will have her introDUCKtion and then it's Welcome Weekend for students and parents with the first day of class on the 27th. She and Rick arrive home on Thursday ...
BTW, don't know RS, but they're obviously from Grand Junction! Barb and I met for the day - shopping, eating, and a massage! (Thought that would make a good shot, but couldn't figure out the logistics - LOL!)
What a nice picture to remember your newfound friends with! I like all the brightness in it, both in the shirts and your faces!!
Sounds like you´ll have a great day again tomorrow too. Enjoy!
Pancakes? Did you use Eva's recipe? All that Lunenberg Red makes me think that Lunenberg must cast a spell over its inhabitants by the time they're ready to leave. :-)
Lol Louise,,,you are the only one that red the paper. I was taking notes on a how to page on photography. When I looked for a paper to put an F on, it was all I could find laying around. Too funny isn't it.
And in reply to your comment on my picture...when I first got a dslr, I thought I'd really miss the screen! (i borrowed my uncles which had no live view) and so when I bought mine, i made sure I have one with live view...but I hadn't realised until yesterday how much i look through the viewfinder rather then looking at the screen and I really missed it!
what a beautiful RED photo, it's nice to just stay at home sometimes, for a change, i do that to, especially when I already have that photo in mind....
this is such a lovely photo! goodbyes aren't forever though, that's okay. :)
I think it's awesome that almost all of you all were wearing red. lol it's so cute! :D
Pancakes, you say?

I actually thought it was a snap of a football team with a small goalie from the thumbnail!
