Ok, I couldn’t get both in the same photo, so this famous Roman amphitheatre, next to the Arch of Constantine, won out. I did get some pretty moonlit pictures with Trajan’s Column just a short walk away. We’d spent the day out, taking a bus to the Borghese Gardens before returning to walk through more of the city. We ended the day with a view to this iconic location. Everything looks beautiful under a full moon!
What a beautiful shot! I love how you've captured this; it makes me want to go there :) Really glad that you're having such a great time, and am looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip unfold :)
This is spectacular! I love the Colosseum. I think that that is where I watched a televised show of Il Divo perform Hallelujah that was so beautiful it practically made my heart jump out of my chest. You can watch it on you tube too. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful pictures from your trip.
Your photos are wonderful. The night lighted shots are so clear and crisp. Really well shot. Love all of your photos from this trip. You really know how to capture your experience.
Wow, Louise! This looks wonderful!! I haven´t had time to catch up with your stories, but I´m going to make time for it this weekend. Love this beautiful picture!!!
@toast Closing up shop at the end of a l-o-n-g day but enjoyed all the comments you've just left about the trip. Sounds as though we've traveled many of the same paths. If you take Betty to Pompeii one day, be sure not to miss Herculaneum...we found it to be more intimate and still including more artistic detail. Of course both were just amazing when you consider all the history!
oh dear....i've missed a few, haven't i? so sorry my friend. haven't been commenting much on others either.... have had my hands full with happenings around the house, the semester coming to a close, and some personal issues... what a lovely shot this is!! the light of dusk is soooo gorgeous!
So wonderful
