Our flowering trees are short-lived, so I'm going to make a point to appreciate the varied aspects of them this year... Yearly, we can anticipate the exact week they're in bloom.

@digitalrn Actually...they don't smell very good and they produce an unpleasant odor...go figure! They are lovely, though!

@ellen Hi Ellen! That's an Ornamental Flowering Pear tree...the "city tree of Fountain Valley"... They DO add a spark of springtime to a California "winter" day!

What a gorgeous shot! I was going to say it was a Star Jasmine, but you corrected me before I could say it... how pretty and fresh they look! And such a pity they don't last as long as we wish they could.
